What if my attorney wants to settle my auto accident case, but I want to go to trial, or vice versa?
This question can be a little complicated but the bottom line is and the Florida Bar requires that the client make those decisions. It is the client's case and the client gets to make the ultimate decision of how their case gets handled. There are other nuances and other things that go into that such as whether the attorney is willing to put forward the costs and the money to do a trial, so there can be a much longer answer but the bottom line is the ultimate decision is supposed to stay with the client, and the Florida Bar requires that.
